Future Mapping was a three-week project that explored future SS20 trends. I initially started to look at astrology, due to its sudden rise in popular culture since meme pages and Instagram accounts have glorified the use of horoscopes in today’s society. There is currently no magazine that links astrology to fashion, so this is what I created.

 

Lucid is a monthly that magazine includes articles about spirituality and styling tips for each star sign along with a monthly horoscope that has been illustrated by me. I wanted to make the magazine aesthetics bright and colourful to represent the positive message Lucid puts across. They were also inspired by Kim Shui’s SS20 collection’s colour palette, exploratory patterns and textures. I developed this colour palette by experimenting with creating my own imagery for the magazine’s backgrounds.
